RVC’s Financial Peace University (FPU) class will be starting soon, on June 8. I want to give you another reason that you should consider attending FPU this summer. This is probably not the answer you are expecting and it might not be the most significant reason to attend FPU but here it is. Because it’s fun!
Let’s face it, we all like to have fun. But for most of us fun and finances don’t usually show up in the same sentence unless it’s something like “My finances are keeping me from having fun.” But I want you to know that you will laugh much more in this class on personal finances that you would expect to. Dave Ramsey has a way of taking a subject that can get dry at times and making it interesting and fun. Don’t get me wrong. You will be challenged. You might get offended if an area that you struggle with financially is exposed, but if you allow yourself to lighten up, you will also laugh.
And while the teaching is interesting it is also enjoyable to walk through things like learning to save or to get out of debt and learning how to do a budget with others who have been through what you are going through or are currently struggling to do those same things. If you know your financial life is not where it needs to be, I highly encourage you to take the class… And have some fun in the process!
Just a reminder, if you are planning to attend FPU be sure and contact either me or Eric Sampson or sign up online at this link.
