Kids.
Not only are they cute and funny, but they also possess incredible potential. Children grow up and standing on our shoulders they become the future leaders and evangelists. The amount we invest in children over the course of eighteen years will shape how they live out the next seventy. Parents know the weight of responsibility to disciple their children. But as I read about the early church in Acts 2 and consider the Great Commission to make disciples, I can’t help but think that we are all, parent or childless, called to invest in this next generation. Ministry to children is so valuable to the life of our church – and it is such a joy to be a part of!
Thank you to the many who are already serving and influencing the young lives in our church!
If you are not currently witnessing to children and you would like to take part in God’s plan of salvation in this way, consider these opportunities:
- Serve in Children’s Church. Each Sunday, we share the Gospel with children through Bible stories, Scripture memory, and object lessons. Nursery workers make the most of every opportunity by praying over the babies. Please contact Tia at tnj052204@yahoo.com if you are interested in being put on the summer schedule.
- Outreach through Backyard Bible Clubs. This summer, our church will be taking the Gospel to the Eagle Heights and Allied Drive communities through 5-day children’s clubs. These clubs use Bible stories, songs, crafts, and games to introduce Jesus to children who may not have the opportunity to step inside a church. Please contact Sarah at Sarah@RedVillageChurch.com if you are interested in helping with either or both of these clubs.
